Wanted: Tech Lead - Full Stack Engineer

rb2 is a technical development agency and has been awarded Digital Production Agency of the Netherlands by Emerce. We love technological challenges. Our team consists of innovators, inventors, developers, tech leads and delivery managers. Together with customers such as DAF, de Bijenkorf, Lavazza and Europarcs, we translate these issues into concrete solutions as a technical partner. We have a huge hunger to grow.
From our marketing department, we coordinate all marketing activities such as events, social media marketing, advertisements, managing the website, measuring our visitors and trying to convert them into leads. An ambitious, but friendly marketing team, consisting of creatives and marketers, where we would like you to work together on the desired growth of rb2.
This is what you're going to do
You will design, improve and develop new features, security, performance and more of the mission-critical systems used by our customers. You also contribute to and assess user stories, requirements and design documentation and write automated tests for the use cases and requirements. We offer you the opportunity to stay sharp by trying cutting-edge technology, improving current solutions or finding new ones and realizing the technical vision of the organization. You defend the quality of the software and the software development process in general. To do this, you communicate daily with the development team in China and the Netherlands. You take ownership of the project timelines, features and deliverables. You contribute to the DevOps process and toolchain and collaborate with customers when necessary.
This is what we ask
You have experience building great platforms, from inception to production, using your strong analytical skills and conceptual and (software) architectural knowledge. You feel at home in distributed teams and you help to improve team performance. You live and breathe continuous delivery and recognize yourself in the following profile:
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering;
- As we are looking for someone with great potential and a strong fit with the team we consider 8+ years of work experience as a strong asset, but this can be replaced by excellent skills;
- Strong programming skills, from JavaScript/CSS to Golang to .NET Core and JVM;
- Experience with test-driven development and test automation;
- Experience with continuous delivery and deployment, preferably using tools such as Docker, Kubernetes;
- Interest in groundbreaking open source technologies and able to advise management and customers on their use;
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and Agile way of working;
- Driven to discover and learn new technologies and to work on hobby projects and then share this with colleagues;
- Strong vision on technologies;
- You enjoy attending technical conferences/meetings and giving presentations and workshops;
- Fluent in written and spoken English;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Willing to work (temporarily) at the location of an (external) customer.
